A bespoke bog oak project – how working with our workshop looks

Most of our furniture is made as one-of-a-kind pieces. We are just as happy to take on commissioned projects – for private clients, architects and interior designers. Here is how such a collaboration usually works.

1. Talking about the project

We start with the brief: what piece, for which interior, in what dimensions and with which materials. Sketches, moodboards, floor plans or photos of the space are welcome. At this stage we also say openly what is possible with the material and what needs a different solution.

2. Choosing the wood and materials

Bog oak is a natural material – every board has a different shape, grain and shade. We select the wood for the project and suggest pairings: resin, metal, amber, minerals. We can send photos of specific boards or finish samples.

3. Proposal and quote

Based on what we agree, we prepare a proposal with dimensions, a description of materials and a quote. Lead time is agreed individually – it depends on the scale of the project and the availability of the material.

4. Making and delivery

The piece is made by hand. Smaller items are shipped by courier; tables and large furniture travel by dedicated transport – abroad too. Every piece comes with care instructions.

What we don’t promise

We don’t promise that two pieces will be identical – bog oak doesn’t allow it, and that is exactly its value. Nor do we take on solutions we believe won’t last. We would rather say so at the start than after the piece is made.

Have a project where bog oak could play the leading role? Tell us about it – we’ll come back with a proposal and a quote. Collaboration for designers →
